    How Invisalign works

    How it works

Instead of metal brackets and wires, you change through a series of clear, custom-fitted aligners every 4 to 7 days. Each tray guides your teeth into position.

They pop out easily for eating, brushing, and flossing, so there are no dietary restrictions and oral hygiene is as straightforward as ever.

    Invisalign for adults and kids

    Adults and kids

Invisalign works for adults of any age who want to straighten crowded or spaced teeth, correct a relapse after previous braces, or prepare their bite for restorative and cosmetic work.

Children can start as early as 8, depending on what is going on in their mouth.

    How long Invisalign takes

    How long it takes

Treatment usually ranges from 6 to 24 months, depending on the complexity of movement required. Simple alignments can finish in as little as six months.

At your first examination, Dr. Fenn will map your digital plan and give you an estimate of trays and timing.

    People ask about veneers

    People ask about veneers

Many patients ask whether veneers can fix crooked or crowded teeth quickly without orthodontic treatment.

Dr. Fenn will explain why straightening first preserves your natural tooth structure and enamel, before any bonding or veneers are considered.

An attachment has come off, a tray has stopped fitting, or a tooth has moved in a way you did not expect. Send us a photo and tell us what happened.

Dr. Fenn will look and tell you what she thinks and what to do next.

    What it costs

The cost depends on how far the teeth have to travel, so it varies case to case. You will get yours in writing at the examination, before you commit to anything.

If you have private insurance, we submit your claim electronically for you. You pay us at the appointment, and your insurer reimburses you.

We also accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan, and we bill CDCP directly so you are not chasing the paperwork afterwards. One thing worth knowing before you come in. The plan pays against a government fee schedule, and our fees follow the Ontario Dental Association fee guide, which is higher than the CDCP schedule. There is a difference in what you pay. Most dentists in Ontario work this way. We would rather you hear it now than at the desk afterwards.

We take cash, debit, Visa and Mastercard.

Request a consultation with Dr. Fenn

Email us a photo of what is bothering you and tell us what is going on. Dr. Fenn will look and tell you what she thinks it might be and what to do next. You do not have to be a patient here to ask.

A photo will not always be enough. If she needs to see it properly, she will say so, and the next step is a full examination with x-rays. If you are in pain, call us instead. That is not something to wait on an email for.
