New patients at Danforth Dental Care

Yes, we are taking new patients. Your first appointment is an examination and it runs 80 minutes. You can book it online in about a minute, or call us on 416-469-2454.

    Your first appointment

A complete oral examination covers your teeth, your gums, the bone supporting your teeth, and your TMJ. We take updated radiographs and a scan of your teeth so you can see what we see.

We review your medical history and any medications you take. We talk about what you want and what you are worried about. Then we build a treatment plan around all of that.

It takes 80 minutes. Patients tell us afterwards that nobody had ever walked them through their own mouth before.

    What it costs

If you have private insurance, we submit your claim electronically for you. You pay us at the appointment, and your insurer reimburses you.

We also accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan, and we bill CDCP directly so you are not chasing the paperwork afterwards. One thing worth knowing before you come in. The plan pays against a government fee schedule, and our fees follow the Ontario Dental Association fee guide, which is higher than the CDCP schedule. There is a difference in what you pay. Most dentists in Ontario work this way. We would rather you hear it now than at the desk afterwards.

We take cash, debit, Visa and Mastercard.

    What to bring

Your health card, your insurance details if you have coverage, and a list of any medications you take. If you have had radiographs taken somewhere else recently, we can request them so you do not have to have new ones. Tell us when you book and we will send you the release form.

The new patient forms are available on our patient portal and you can fill them in before you come, which saves time at the desk.

If you would rather fill in the forms in person, let us know when you book and we will set aside time for you at the office before your appointment with Dr. Fenn.

    Dental consultation with Dr. Fenn

Have a question? Ask Dr. Fenn.

Email us a photo of what is bothering you and tell us what is going on. Dr. Fenn will look and tell you what she thinks it might be and what to do next. You do not have to be a patient here to ask.

A photo will not always be enough. If she needs to see it properly, she will say so, and the next step is a full examination with x-rays. If you are in pain, call us instead. That is not something to wait on an email for.
