Bonding, whitening, bleaching andchanging how your teeth look
Bonding, whitening, bleaching and changing how your teeth look begins with an examination of how your teeth and gums fit together. Dr. Fenn will talk you through the options and help you decide what makes sense for your smile.
Online booking is for exams and cleanings only. For anything else, call 416-469-2454.

Bonding or veneers
Composite resin bonding repairs chips, closes small gaps, and smoothes uneven edges in a single visit without removing healthy tooth enamel. Porcelain veneers cover the entire front surface of the tooth and are custom-fabricated in a dental laboratory.
Dr. Fenn will explain the tradeoffs between bonding and veneers so you can choose the option that matches your goals, timeline, and budget.

Whitening
Whitening lifts stains from coffee, tea, red wine and age. It does not change the colour of crowns, veneers, fillings or bonding. We check that your teeth and gums are healthy before we start.

Straightening first
Often, the most conservative cosmetic treatment starts with moving teeth into their proper positions with Invisalign before any bonding or veneers are considered.
Straightening teeth first preserves more of your natural enamel and creates a balanced foundation for any cosmetic finishing touches.
Chipped and worn edges
Small chips and worn edges on front teeth can often be rebuilt with bonding in a single appointment. Dr. Fenn matches the bonding to the shade of your own teeth.
What it costs
It depends on why the work is being done. CDCP and private insurance can cover it when a tooth is discoloured because a filling is failing or there is decay, when a tooth has fractured from trauma or severe wear, or when there is a food trap with gum concerns. Plan limits apply, and there may be a difference for you to pay.
When the reason is purely how the tooth looks, such as wanting to whiten, or to mask colour, shape or position with veneers, neither CDCP nor private insurance covers it. A health spending account may.
If you have private insurance, we submit your claim electronically for you. You pay us at the appointment, and your insurer reimburses you.
We also accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan, and we bill CDCP directly so you are not chasing the paperwork afterwards. One thing worth knowing before you come in. The plan pays against a government fee schedule, and our fees follow the Ontario Dental Association fee guide, which is higher than the CDCP schedule. There is a difference in what you pay. Most dentists in Ontario work this way. We would rather you hear it now than at the desk afterwards.
We take cash, debit, Visa and Mastercard.

Request a consultation with Dr. Fenn
Email us a photo of what is bothering you and tell us what is going on. Dr. Fenn will look and tell you what she thinks it might be and what to do next. You do not have to be a patient here to ask.
A photo will not always be enough. If she needs to see it properly, she will say so, and the next step is a full examination with x-rays. If you are in pain, call us instead. That is not something to wait on an email for.
